Season Report: Boys Varsity Soccer

By: Evan Papania

Badin High School fall sports are in full swing and no other sports team is more determined to succeed this year, than the boys’ varsity soccer team.

Senior varsity soccer player Michael Droppelman was interviewed for his take on the current season is going for the team.

“Our season is decent so far, we’re a young team with a very strong defense. However we tend to struggle when it comes to scoring goals,” Droppleman says.

Many other school’s teams are trying their best as well, especially on varsity, making competition this season very fierce for the team.

“Fenwick is a big game for us this year, we pride ourselves with the fact that we’ve never lost to Fenwick since my freshman year but they will definitely put up a fight,” Droppleman informs.

Competition is not just fierce against other teams, many Badin soccer players are working hard to make a name for themselves and claim a spot on the varsity team. Michael Droppelman was questioned on what he thinks it takes to get on varsity soccer.

“The best way to get a varsity spot is to practice with the same intensity that you play. You must consistently give your best effort,” Droppleman says.

Despite the stiff competition and hardships Michael Droppelman still expresses how much he loves the boys varsity soccer team.

“I love the feeling of being on a team and knowing that the guys have each others back. We’re a band of brothers.”
