Badin Seniors have a lot to celebrate as they will be graduating this month. Four years of high school together have created numerous memories for them that they will not forget.
“Going on and leading Kairos, going to Boston for the Sisters of Notre Dame conference, and spirit olympics,” is what senior Emily Sauer shared as some of her favorite memories.
Others have slightly different moments that they’ll remember best.
“Playing in Badin Rocks during football games and parades. Also, walking in the building for the first time during Freshman orientation,” Kateri Wielgos said.
Still others have not forgotten the laughs and good times from Freshman year that came with taking Mr. Mignery’s World History class.
“Some of my favorite memories are Mr. Mignery dressing up as an Egyptian for Halloween,” Evie Wurzelbacher said.
It’s clear that the current Badin Seniors have taken advantage of these prime years of their lives. With so many different aspects to enjoy, Badin has been a home to the Class of 2020 for the past four years of their lives. In fact, many of these good memories will inspire them in the future and continue to motivate Badin underclassmen as well.
As Hannah Werner stated, “Never take anything for granted, don't wish away high school.”
So whether it’s always smiling at people in the halls, working hard at your studies, thanking your teachers, or just finding that one thing you're passionate about, high school is the time to do it. Enjoy these years of your life because before long, you’ll be looking back on all the happy memories you made.
“When it comes down to it, it's up to you whether or not you're going to learn something. Be passionate, even if you don't feel like it,” Wielgos said.
