“Sksksksk, and I oop” are common phrases heard around the hallways of Badin High school. We have all heard of the metal straw drinking, turtle saving, big T-shirt wearing VSCO girls but the question is, what are they really like?

An easy way to spot a VSCO girl is by their Hydro Flask. “I wasn't originally going to get one then they came out with one in my favorite color and I just had to get one,” Caroline Kammerer said.

VSCO originally started out as a photography app but the trends soon turned into a common meme that people make fun of. These trends include: metal straws, big T-shirts, saving the turtles and much more.

“I try to reduce my use of plastic by using my metal straw,” Kammerer said. They use a metal straw to protect the turtles from eating plastic in the oceans.

It is never okay to make fun of anyone for their beliefs and their lifestyle. VSCO girls have their way and we have ours, and that’s that.
