Local Food Review: Roll On In

This month, Roll On In was the lunch destination for a local food review.

Roll On In is located on the corner of Main Street right in the heart of Hamilton. The restaurant is an adorable spot for a lunch date, with seats that look right out onto the street.

The cuisine is fresh sushi burritos and bowls with plenty of different options to make your meal unique. They have specialty burritos and bowls, or you can customize your own.

You start out by picking your base, and then you can pick your protein. The options from protein range in price, but the fresh seafood is $10.15 and chicken, tofu, etc. is $8.15.

Following your choice of protein is an abundance of toppings you can pick from. There are fresh vegetables, a range of sauces, and crunchy toppings.

For Lunch, Ryan Kirkendall, Caroline Kammerer, and I went to test out the restaurant.

I got a sushi burrito with a seaweed wrap base. My protein selection was salmon, and I got the toppings of edamame, cucumber, cilantro, green onion, and spicy mayo. The burrito was packed with flavor and was a great size for the price.

Ryan tested out the crab rangoons and had good things to say about them. He also tested out their pumpkin pie seasonal rangoons.

“I got crab rangoons, out of my limited crab rangoon experiences, I’d say this would be at the top. They were a good temperature and had a nice consistency. The sweet and sour sauce complimented them very well, the pumpkin pie rangoons however lacked flavor and lacked sweetness.”

Caroline got a different base of a sushi bowl. She got salmon, edamame, corn salsa, and a variety of other toppings. She really enjoys going to Roll On In.

“I’ve been here before and I always get a sushi bowl. I really like eating here it’s one of my favorite places to eat in Hamilton.”

Overall the cuisine, atmosphere, and service of Roll On In was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers and those wanting to try something new.
