The days of iPads for Badin High School are over. Starting next school year, Badin will be introducing new laptop/tablet hybrids to all students and staff.
This is a well-timed upgrade and the students could not be happier.
“I’m very excited to learn more about the laptops,” junior Logan Imhoff said.
Not everyone is happy and the Class of 2020 is left feeling behind. They will not get laptops, but they will still be able to purchase their iPads for one dollar at the end of the year.
The laptops will either be A Dell 3019 tablet PC or an HP x360. These are the most affordable, efficient and effective for what the students will need.
We are getting these laptops because we will be able to take them to college and they will still be generally new. Most classes in college are Windows based and these laptops have the newest update.
The laptops will have many different functions and they will be all Windows-based. They come with a front and rear facing camera, a keyboard and a touch screen. However, Badin will still be all Google-based with Google Classroom and the other apps offered.
The laptops may come with new problems, but the tech guys seem to only have positive feelings about the laptops.
Finally, students are excited because they will all be able to buy their iPads and still be able to buy the laptops when they graduate.
“We plan to make them available for a good rate to you,” Mr. Memory said.
