The Fright Before Midterms

by Gracie Combs

The students of Badin are just a few days away from midterms. The three days of testing can be a stressful time for everyone including the staff. However the students have different ways to prepare for exams, be it studying until 4 a.m or their own way.

“I make a lot of flash cards and study at least two days before the exam,” Senior Evie Wurzelbacher said.

“Fill out the study guides given out and then remake one of my own study guide,” Junior Emma Kent.

Other than studying and creating Quizlets, many students have something lucky to help them pass their exams. From their lucky socks to a bracelet they have had since the second grade.

“My chain,” Sophomore Luke Dwire said.

“I wear a lucky necklace” Sophomore Katie Hiernaux said.

According to these few students having luck and studying isn’t just enough. Some students have their own rituals that must be performed to pass exams.

“I have to have a blue jolly rancher before my exams” Freshmen Annabelle Payne.

“I have to pray the night before” Sophomore Ashleigh Green said.

However the best way to prepare for exams is to study, get plenty of rest and keeping hydrated. As a small reminder midterms are on the 17th, 18th and 19th, then it’s Christmas break. Good luck and have a great holiday break.
