Factors to Having a Good Football Season

Many factors go into having a good sports season, but what exactly makes a great athlete?

While a player might have a good season, there are always things to improve on.

“I played exceptionally well, but I could have improved on my field vision,” freshman Braedyn Moore said.

Moore played running back, slot, and corner.

“I played fairly well, but there were some things that I could have improved on,” freshman Kaden Starks, who played fullback and linebacker, said.

Practice can also have a strong impact on many players, because it can help them to memorize plays.

“I have a hard time remembering things, so the constant repetition helps. Aside from that, every practice is an opportunity to get quicker, faster, stronger, smarter, and it is something that is vital to a player’s performance,” Starks said.

Having years of experience can also have a good impact on a player’s season.

“I started playing football in second grade, but I wish I would have played before so I could have more experience,” Moore said.

Sometimes the key to having a good game is to not let the pressure get to you.

“I try not to feel pressured to play well. I believe in myself and I go on the field and do what I can to help my team succeed,” Starks said.

Competition can be hard, but it can also be enjoyable.

“I love the competition,” Starks explained.

While practicing for a sport can be hard work, it can also be very rewarding.

“Playing with our teammates, having fun, competing and winning are some of the best parts about playing in a game,” Moore said.
