Badin hosted an Open House on Sunday, Nov. 3 to encourage new students to come to Badin.
Many people from Badin came to help out. Ambassadors, students, coaches and parents all had a different role to play on Sunday.
Student ambassadors are trained by Mrs. Gray and Mr. Allen to give tours to families that come in.
“Our ambassadors have told us that they are interested in spreading the good word of Badin and they really put themselves out there. We train them so that they are armed with correct information. They are our best representatives,” Gray said.
In recent years, Badin has reached out to even more students from different areas.
“We have 47 different schools represented with 28 different zip codes. It should be about the same for next year. We’ve widened our net by sending mailers and spreading information further than ever before, branching into areas we typically felt were too far away. If we have something people want, they’ll drive to get it,” Gray said.
For the Open House this year, there was a lot going on at Badin. Aside from tables with different sports and clubs, construction for the new student center was also going on.
“We had lots of ambassadors who went to training and showed up. All of our coaches and students do a great job. It was a very exciting atmosphere with new construction and computers,” Gray said.
Open House was full of families who are hopefully sending their children to Badin. It was a great experience for all.
“I would give Open House an A. We’re hoping for 150 incoming freshmen. I thank ambassadors and all students who came and worked tables and gave up their day. Their time is valuable, we’re happy they were here,” Gray said.
