The Sophomore Class dominated this year when it came to the raffle ticket sales. They sold 3,833 tickets as a class, which amounts to $19,165. Each student sold an average of 118 tickets.
Katie Hiernaux, a sophomore, not only sold the most tickets in her class, but the whole school!
“Honestly it wasn’t so much my desire to sell a bunch of tickets as it was to potentially win the scholarship money,” sophomore Katie Hiernaux said.
The reward for all their hard work has been a week dedicated to them. On Monday, students were allowed to show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white and blue. Students also received a bag of chips as a treat.
On Tuesday, students got to come to school comfortably in their pajamas. They ate a delicious breakfast served by the freshman. The breakfast consisted of sausage, French toast sticks, pancake sausage sticks, coffee cake, eggs, orange juice, chocolate milk and white milk.
“It was yummy, the chocolate milk hit different,” sophomore Mary Hunt said.
Wednesday’s theme was “Wacky Wednesday” and students were encouraged to dress in mis-matched attire.
On Thursday, students got to wear their class color: purple. They also got to cut the lunch line, a once in a lifetime deal for sophomores.
Lastly, on Friday, students got to show their school spirit by wearing green and white.
All in all, the sophomores had a great week celebrating their massive ticket sales!
