Construction Update

Students may be wondering, when is the big construction project going to be finished? Well, the original finish date has been moved back to June, according to Mr. Thompson.

The hardest part of the process has been all of the pre-construction requirements.

“Getting all the pre-construction items taken care of. Fundraising, blueprints finalized, budget/scope of work, general contractor and subcontractors,” Mr. Thompson said.

This would make sense considering that since the physical construction was started, it has been moving pretty fast.

“Saurber Construction is very conscious with the approach to their work. Everything has fallen into place perfectly throughout the project and when it is completed we will have a first class addition that is 100% finished and not have to worry about callbacks,” Mr. Thompson said.

The construction has made it slightly more inconvenient for students because they have to walk into the side doors from the parking lot.

Some may also wonder whether we will still walk through the side to get into school, even after the building is finished.

“No, students will enter through the new building to get to the school and the PFAC,” Mr. Thompson said.

The finish of construction should also leave students with more convenient access to the PFAC.
