Students react to new semester classes

By: Michael Madden

The beginning of a new semester can be an exciting and stressful time for Badin students. With students entering new classrooms and meeting new teachers, we decided to ask around the school and discover some initial reactions to these new semester class changes.

Senior Lauren Harris has started the year by switching from last semester’s Beginner Guitar to Piano. Lauren’s first impression of the class and the teacher was positive.

“I love taking Piano,” Harris said, “Mrs. McCormick helps us a lot.”

Junior Jacob Collins also enjoys the music electives offered at Badin. Collins is taking Music Technology with Mr. McCormick this semester. However, he seems to miss his last semester’s class, Piano with Mrs. McCormick.

“Piano was fun because I had a lot of friends in the class,” Collins said.

Robert Paxton has advanced to Game Design II from Public Speaking last semester. The senior doesn’t seem to enjoy the class so far.

"The class is really boring because there are only three people in it,” Paxton said.

Regardless of the stress or excitement surrounding semester course changes, new friendships will be made, new information will be learned and students will continue to reach their full potential in the Badin community.
