Fashion is everywhere and even though we go to a Catholic high school, there are some teachers still keeping up with the trends.
Mrs. Keating and Dr. O’Hara are the two fashionistas of the school and they have some “swag” outfits.
Keating gets most of her outfits at normal stores and it’s really something anyone can do. “I used to get a lot of my outfits at limited, I have stuff from J. Crew and I get a decent amount of stuff from Old Navy. There’s always the occasional Target outfit.”
There’s always a difference between work and social life however, and Keating has that on lockdown. “J. Crew, that tends to be for work type things. If I’m going out, then I look at Old Navy for both. I really like Rose and Remington, it’s my go-to right now for social clothes.”
Both Keating and O’Hara are very honored to be selected and they are both very humbled by their nominations.
O’Hara has his iconic blazers that he wears weekly. “I get most of them on some good sales. I’ll wait until the end of winter when they are on sale then I’ll get the heavier ones. Tweed and herringbone material. I do have a couple vintage ones from my dads. It’s from the 60s or 70s.”
They both have some tips for what makes or breaks an outfit, O’Hara says that your belt and shoes need to match while Keating says that having too many accessories will be too much and make an outfit look bad.
O’Hara’s fashion has not always been the same, growing up in the 70’s was a big influence on him. “I had big bell bottoms with cuffs on the bottom. Polyester double knit. I had a light blue leisure suit. I had a shirt with blue and red ribbon patterns on it.”
Overall, it’s important to have fun with your outfits and this pair certainly does.
