Teams represent Badin at childhood cancer fundraiser

On February 8, 2020 over 1,500 high school students came together for CancerFree KIDS' Night for the Fight, presented by TQL Foundation, at the Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati.

Night for the Fight happens all over the country, at many different times during the year. For Badin’s second year attending at least thirty-five students participated, in a 12-hour overnight event that is planned by students, for students.

Team captains from the five teams attending were Emma Trusock, Grace Meehan, Kaitlyn Robinson, Katie Ropka, and Haylie Jacobs. Together, $329,920 was raised for pediatric cancer research.

Any high school student in the Greater Cincinnati area can participate by raising a minimum of $125, having at least six people per team with a chaperone and a team captain. Night for the Fight honors those who had cancer, is still battling the disease, and those who have passed away.

There are many featured games such as dodgeball, The Amazing Race, jump ropes, Jumbo Jenga and scavenger hunts. Many sponsor organizations happen to be local Cincinnati foods such as Skyline, Jersey Mikes, First Watch, Donatos and many more.
