What is JSA?

With such a large selection of sports and clubs available to students at Badin High School, it is easy for new ones, or ones that are getting started back up, again to get lost in the crowd. JSA or Junior State of America is a debate club being given new life by senior David Strunk.

“JSA is a club where we debate topics and learn about world governments and their problems,” said Jake Graf a member of JSA.

JSA used to be club at Badin but slowly went away due to lack of interest and leadership. But now JSA is making a comeback, while being moderated by Mr. Sietz and led by David Strunk. David Stunk is very excited to be leading JSA and has big plans in store.

“We are scheduling many debates for the future and even a trip to Columbus, Ohio,” said David

Setting up regular meetings is also important to JSA, making sure to keep the meeting times and dates convenient for the other members.

“We meet every other Monday in Mr. Seitz’s room right after school so that it is convenient for other members with busy schedules,” said Jake.

David is always happy to have new members join the JSA and is happy to answer any questions about the club.

“Many questions will be answered at the meetings or you can talk to or email me, the president, or Mr. Seitz, the moderator,” said David.
