Ms. Trotter, Badin graduate of 2015, has recently returned to the “Ramily” as a teacher.
Trotter chose to come back to teach at Badin because she feels like this is where she got her inspiration to teach.
“Badin was the place that inspired me to become a teacher in the first place. Badin is home!” Trotter said.
Trotter’s favorite part of Badin is the sense of community, and she thinks that Badin’s community really helps students to grow.
“No where else I’ve ever been has that same sense of “Ramily” that we do here. As much as I love the academics since I’m a teacher, Badin really shapes the whole student - mind, body, and soul,” Trotter explained.
While Trotter was a student, she was involved in the athletic and academic community.
“I played volleyball and basketball, was a Representative in Student Council, an Ambassador and an NHS member,” Trotter said.
Trotter has always enjoyed math classes the most, even since high school.
“My favorite class was math, specifically Pre-Calc,” Trotter explained.
In the time since Trotter has graduated, she says that the school has grown and that some other changes have been made.
“The class sizes have grown tremendously. I believe I graduated with less than 120 peers! Dollar Day also isn’t the same, they should bring back the big cinnamon rolls! We also had demerits when I went here instead of the write up system that is in place now,” Trotter said.
Even though some things have changed since Trotter was a student here, she says that many things have stayed the same.
“Badin is still the same tight knit community that I loved so much when I was a student here. The uniforms are the same, I’m glad to see they brought the green polo shirts back,” Trotter said.
The Badin community is happy that Trotter has come back to teach, because she adds a lot to the “Ramily”.
