Seniors mark their territory

A new year at Badin brings lots of new changes; one of these changes allowed seniors to paint their parking spots.

The seniors jumped on the opportunity and got painting right away creating amazing works of art. Some of which looked really nice.

“They did an amazing job, I’m overwhelmed by how much detail was put into the spots. The kids really took the time and pride into making the spots. The kids started a new tradition that I hope will be around forever,” Mr.Imhoff said.

Seniors spent hours on end out on the parking lot painting things they found funny or were passionate about.

“I painted my parking spot because I loved that we were allowed to paint them this year as seniors! I hope this tradition continues!” senior Paige Parrish said.

One of the fan favorites parking spots was senior Jack Feenstra who painted the American flag.

“I just came up with my idea on my own," Feenstra said. I love my country, so I decided to paint the American flag. 50 stars would’ve been too hard, so I painted my name in the blue which I think looks better."

Mr. Imhoff said the idea spawned from Eddie Kamerrrererere (sic) last year in the fourth quarter but it never worked out.

“Well I think it's awesome that we were always trying to give seniors some privileges and this is another to give seniors something to look forward too,” Imhoff said.

All in all, painting the parking spots was an amazing idea. Everyone hopes it can be another tradition for the rest of Badin.
