The Badin Banner

New teacher, who this?

As the new students grow into the Badin community, a teacher will do the same. Dr. Joel Anderson replaces Mr. Shuckman as the new Integrated Technology teacher.

Anderson previously taught at Alter but has finally joined the Ramily.

“The tech piece is not the big part, I wanted to be with the kids and help through technology to become better kids,” Anderson said.

Anderson focuses on the importance of kindness while he teaches.

“I would say that I’m passionate about building relationships with kids,” Anderson said.

Relationships with students are important, and clearly, Dr. Anderson is doing just that.

“My favorite characteristic of Dr. Anderson is that he is nice and willing to teach in whatever way suits me best,” freshman Chris Hardig said.

Making sure students understand the topic, and can process it into something they remember is important.

“My favorite thing about Dr. Anderson's class is that I get to learn about technology and learn how to do new things on a computer,” freshman Ryan Hogan said.

Technology is a growing topic, and we use it almost every minute of life, whether that is through are cellular devices or computers. Many students only know the technology on their cellular device, but tech class will open their minds to a wide variety of technology all on the computer, so they at least know the basics.

“My favorite part would probably just learning new things in a subject I'm unaware of,” Jasmine Kirsch, a freshman, said.

Learning new things is a fun and interesting time, and you could be learning things that you will use later in life. The goal of the teacher is to teach, and Dr. Anderson is doing a great job thus far!

Welcome to the Ramily, Dr. Anderson!
