Successful completion of Chinese 1 and teacher approval.

Course Description: 

This course builds on the foundation established in Chinese 1. It is designed to enhance student proficiency in the five core language skills: Pinyin, oral communication, listening, Chinese character writing, and reading. The curriculum will introduce more complex Chinese characters and advanced grammatical structures. Students will engage in reading, analysis, and discussion based on a variety of texts, including articles, world events, music, and newspapers. The course will also provide an intensive review of grammatical patterns and further develop essay writing skills. Chinese culture will be integrated throughout the course to enrich the learning experience.
