Non required. This course is designed for students who have little or no previous experience with Chinese. 

Course Description: 

This course  provides an introduction to the fundamental elements of the Chinese language. The curriculum focuses on developing five key language skills: mastering pronunciation with Pin-Yin tones, enhancing oral communication, improving listening abilities, reading Chinese characters, and writing Chinese characters, starting with basic strokes. Students will participate in various activities aimed at boosting their capacity to communicate effectively in simple, everyday contexts.
