With infants, talk about what you’re doing and thinking: get some bubbles and play with them outside. Notice as your baby watches the bubbles floating away. Blow a couple of bubbles and let them pop on your baby's hand or foot. Talk to them about how the bubbles are moving, where they land, and how they disappear.
With toddlers, take your story time outside on a warm day. Let your toddler take the lead choosing what book they'd like to read and where they want to sit. If they become interested in something outside, connect it to the book you are reading. "I wonder if there are trees in our book, too" "Do you seen any clouds in the sky on this page?"
