Why should you eat this?
Shrimp is rich in tryptophan, selenium, phosphorus and vitamin B12, which help you to fall asleep earlier. Eggs are a easy source of protein, especially now. They are high in calcium and vitamin B, which can help to produce more melatonin for your body. Rice has tryptophan and melatonin, which are chemicals that put you to sleep.
Ingredients (serves 4):
2 bowls of cooked rice
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup carrot, diced
½ cup french beans, diced
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Pepper to taste
¼ cup of spring onion
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Prepare your ingredients. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, pepper in a bowl and set aside for later use.
Heat oil in a wok/non-stick pan and fry garlic until fragrant.
Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble them until fully cooked. Then, add in shrimp and fry until shrimp is fully cooked.
Toss in carrots and french beans and fry for about 3-5 minutes, or until cooked.
Mix in your rice and sauce mixture and fry at low heat. Make sure to fry well so that the rice is coated evenly with the sauce.
Turn off the heat and serve.
