Application / Operation Lock Status

Introduction

A new feature added to WOW is the ability to set Applications and Operations so that they will not be deleted or updated.

This new feature is a property in the WOW Application and Operation Manager (Builder). This can come handy for when

you have not backed up or created copies of your Applications or Operations and you do not want a user to be able to just

click delete by accident. This feature does not change the end product of the normal operation of the Application or

Operation. This is also easy to disable at any time an Authorized user may wish to do so.

The new feature includes the following property options:

• • None: Keeps the Application / Operation standard where it is able to be deleted and or updated.

  • No Delete: Locks the Application or Operation so that it will not be deleted.

  • No Delete/No Update: Locks the Application or Operation so that it will not be deleted or updated.

Application / Operation Lock Status Property

• This property is always unlocked so that the Authorized user can disable or enable these features at any time, no matter

  • what the setting displays.

No Delete

• • A user will be able to create an Application / Operation and choose from a dropdown textbox in the Application or

    • Operation Manager (Builder) a property named:

    • Application Lock Status (when creating an Application)

    • Operation Lock Status (when creating an Operation)

  • This disables the ability to select the checkbox for this Application / Operation in the WOW Manager (Builder) and

    • disables the red ‘X’ that allows the deletion of the Application/Operation.

  • To disable, simply choose from the Lock Status of the Application / Operation: None.

A) Operation Example: No Delete

B) choose from the following choices.

C) set Operation Lock Status to: No Delete

D) the red ‘X’ is disabled in the Operation view.

This is disabled for both settings: No Delete and No Delete and No Update.

• • A user will be able to create an Application / Operation and choose from a dropdown textbox in the Application or Operation Manager (Builder) a property named:

    • Application Lock Status (when creating an Application)

    • Operation Lock Status (when creating an Operation)

  • This disables the ability to select the checkbox for this Application / Operation in the WOW Manager (Builder) and

    • disables the red ‘X’ that allows the deletion of the Application/Operation.

  • This disables all textbox fields and checkboxes that normally allow input. They are greyed out to let the user know

    • that the No Delete and No Update was chosen.

  • To disable, simply choose from the Lock Status of the Application / Operation: None.
