WOW Dashboard 2x2 & 3x3
The Dashboard feature offers the ability to create a Parent Operation that holds multiple Children Operations and displays them all on one page. The Dashboard displays the Children Operations so you can have multiple Operations rendering different items on the same page.
The way this can work is, let’s say I have multiple departments at my company and I want to display the department information, then below that, display all the Employees for that department. Using the Dashboard (2x2 or 3x3), I can display about two or three different departments (depending on the dashboard type chosen) on one line, then below the corresponding department, I can display the employees from that department. Here is an example of how the Dashboard 3x3 looks. I am displaying three different departments, their corresponding department manager, and their corresponding department employees.
example: Dashboard 3x3
If you notice at the bottom of the Dept. 1 Employees Operation results, you will see the “previous | next” links that allow me to view more employees from that department. I have limited the number of employee rows visible in the results to display this feature will work independently from the rest of the Operations on the page.
When you create a Dashboard 2x2, it automatically creates four template Operations to get you started.
When you create a Dashboard 3x3, it automatically creates nine template Operations to get you started.
These template Operations are created to save you even more time. At this point, all you would need to do is go into each one and alter the Operation code and type of Operation being used as well as set the properties as desired.
WOW also includes a WOWFusion Charts wizard that allows users to create the 2 x 2 and 3 x 3 dashboard automatically. For more information please reference the Fusion guide HERE.
