The WOW Builder requires a user to sign in. There can be one or multiple users with access to development within your system - depending on what your business requires. These are either shared or individual accounts.
When WOW is installed, a developer is brought to this login screen:
Start by "Click here to sign up!" which opens the screen below.
Enter email address and password (remember these to log-in in the future). Click Sign Up. Any developer that signs up with their own account in this manner will have separate development environments - meaning the connections, applications and operations are not shared.
There are two options for creating "shared" accounts (developers share the same environment, connections, applications and operations).
The first option involves simply creating a single WOW development account (keyed by EMAIL/PASSWORD) created in the same manner as above and everyone would use the same log-in.
AR_REPORTS@MYCOMPANY.COM/PASSWORD
The second (recommended) option will allow your developers an individual login/password and will facilitate tracking of who made changes to the shared account. This is accomplished by opening the WOW Wizards screen from within the WOW Builder:
From the Wizards screen, you can create a new developer account:
Fill in a unique email/password here and click insert. This developer will be using the same connections, applications and operations as others within the context.
The account email and password can be changed in the WOW Utilities application using the "preferences" menu item.
WOW Utilities can be access from the main WOW builder page under "Development Tools".
Once opening My Information, user can edit username and password here:
The ability to allow WOW signup of new WOW development accounts can be turned off by adding the following property to your
wow.properties file.
wow.allow.signup = false
For older WOW installs, use "WOW Utilities" to add a Configuration Property under as shown below.
