The following dates related to Employees are captured in the system:
Start date: is the date on which an employee starts working for the company.
First XCD pay date: is the date on which an employee is paid for the first time through XCD Payroll.
If the company is using the XCD Payroll from the beginning of an Employee's period of Employment, then the First XCD pay date and the Start date will always be the same.
Pay in start period: determines whether the employee should be paid in a payroll run in the period in which they start; usually it is checked, but if not the employee will be paid in the next period.
Leaving date: is the date on which an Employee's employment contract ends and they leave the business. Regular contractual payments such as salary and regular benefit payments cease after this date.
Last pay run: set together with Leaving date when the employee leaves the business, and normally the same as the leaving date, this field determines in which Pay run the employee will normally receive their final payment. Occasionally - e.g. where an employee leaves with no notice and that period's pay is already run - the Last pay run may be set to fall in the next period. The Pay period in which this date falls will include the employee's final payments; if a compensation or benefit record should be set up after this date, it will not normally be paid.
Pay period starts & Pay period ends: If any payment is due between these two dates then it becomes eligible to be included in that particular Payrun.
Pay run date: It is the date on which the data for the Pay Run will be generated.
Previous pay run date: It is the date on which the data for the previous Pay Run were generated.
Pay day: It is the date on which the payment is actually made to the Employees.
Pay run generated date: It is the date and time on which the current Pay Run data were generated.
Effective from: is the date from which regular payments start e.g. compensation and regular benefits.
Date of award: is the date on which a One off payment or deduction - e.g., a bonus - is confirmed as due to the Employee
Payment due: a one-off payment will be paid in the next pay run after this date.
First payment made: in the case of one-off payments it will link to that particular Pay Run through which the payment was made. In the case of ongoing payment, it is a link to the first Pay Run through which the payment was made against a particular Pay record.
Payment date: It is pay day of the Pay Run in which the Employee has been paid.
