Standard reports are available directly from the Pay Run to facilitate checking of the pay run. As the run progresses through each stage - Prepare, Retro, Draft and Finalise/Approve through to Finance and Pensions Reporting, the reports are updated dynamically. The reports show data from each pay run and are available from the run.
To view the control reports:
Go to the Payroll tab and select a Pay Run
Click on the Reports sub-tab
The click on a report link (reports will open in a new window).
The following reports are available before the Draft Pay Run has been processed - the reports are designed as pre-draft reports to check data prior to processing:
The following 'Payments' and 'Finance & Pensions' reports are available after a Pay Run has been processed and then after Finance and Pensions Reporting are drafted - any additional reports available post Draft contain values that have been calculated during the Pay Run:
The following 'Year End' reports are available after in the year end pay run for the final period of the tax year:
The tables below provides a brief outline of what is included within each report, while the 'Suggested Control Checks' indicates how the report information may be used. These suggested checks are not exhaustive i.e. additional checks should be undertaken as necessary.
The 'Payments' and 'Finance & Pensions' sections are only available after a draft Pay Run has been processed i.e. these report results of the Pay Run. The 'Year End' section is only available in the final period of the tax year. All other sections are available at all stages in the Payroll process.
