2. discrimination = people are treated unfairly based on their race, gender, age, or other differences

3. infantry regiments = groups of soldiers

4. aeronautical = relating to building or flying aircraft

5. desegregation = the policy of ending segregation

6. valedictorian = the person who ranks #1 in a class

7. charismatic = energetic person that others want to be like

8. ration books = coupon books given out during war that limit the amount of supplies like sugar and flour that you can buy

9. prejudices = opinions not based on facts

10. Axis Forces = the countries of Germany, Italy, and Japan who fought together during World War II

11. foreign and domestic enemies = foreign means people outside of the USA; domestic means people within the USA

12. aerodynamics = the study of objects moving through the air

13. maneuverability = being easy to move and direct

14. theoretical = information based on ideas, not practice

15. morale = confidence and enthusiasm

16. frugal = not spending a lot of money

17. stereotypes = an idea or belief many people have about a thing or group that is based upon how they look on the outside

18. Communism = a political theory that tries to make people "equal", and the government controls most things in the country

19. integrate = to bring together (opposite of segregation)

20. patriotic = showing love for your country
