Royle Music Department Events 2016-17
Monday, October 31 - 2:00 PM - Kindergarten Halloween Parade and Music Concert (concert for parents/family members)
Friday, November 11 - 8:30 AM on the front steps of the school - All-School Assembly for Veteran's Day. Minstrels Chorus will perform for this event. Two 5th Grade trumpet players will also perform "Taps."
Tuesday, December 6 - 10:00 AM - Winter Concert featuring 5th Grade Band, 4th/5th Grade Orchestra and 4th/5th Grade Minstrels Chorus (concert for parents/family members)
Wednesday, December 21 - 2:00 PM - Winter Concert featuring 5th Grade Band, 4th/5th Grade Orchestra and 4th/5th Grade Minstrels Chorus (concert for K-5 students and staff only)
Wednesday, January 11 - 1:15-2:00 PM - Ukulele Playdate between 5-R and K-R/S (for students only)
Thursday, January 12 - 1:15-2:00 PM - Ukulele Playdate between 5-SQ grade and K-M
January TBA - Ukulele Playdate between 5th Grade and K
Saturday, January 21 - 7:00 PM - Minstrels Chorus sings the national anthem at the SOUND TIGERS hockey game in Bridgeport (optional event; tickets available from the PTO.)
Thursday, March 2 - 2:00 PM - Second Grade Music "Share" (for parents/family members). The 2nd grade music classes present a MUSICAL!

April/May 2017:
4M, 4C, and all three 5th grade classes have been working on a Rap project within QuaverMusic. They are using Q Grooves within Quaver to create a backing track within a specific 'form.' Then they will write lyrics and perform their final rap.
It's JANUARY 2017! All of the classes at ROYLE have been immersed in learning about MOZART and the CLASSICAL PERIOD of music, including music by Beethoven and Haydn. Click on each class for more info!
In early January, all of the 5th grade classes had ukulele playdates with Kindergarten classes! See SHOWCASE for pictures and videos!
