ROYLE Music Events 2019-2020

OCTOBER 31 - 2:00 PM - Kindergarten HALLOWEEN parade and music concert. Parade through the school begins at 2pm and concert will start at 2:15pm on the playground. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will be in the Common Room.

NOVEMBER 11 - 8:45 AM - Veteran's Day Ceremony. Minstrels Chorus will sing and some students from 5th grade band will perform "TAPS." Outside, at the front entrance to the school.

DECEMBER 16 - 2:00 PM - Winter Concert performance for the entire school! We will perform our winter concert for all of the kids in grades K-3.

DECEMBER 17 - 9:15 AM - Winter Concert, featuring the 5th Grade Band, 4th and 5th Grade String Orchestra, and the 4th and 5th Grade Minstrels Chorus. Common Room.

JANUARY 11 - 7:00 PM - "Darien Night" at the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Game. The 4th/5th Grade Minstrels Chorus will sing on the ice at the first intermission.

FEBRUARY 12 - 2:15 PM - Kindergarten VALENTINE Concert. COMMON ROOM

FEBRUARY 23, 29 and MARCH 1 - afternoons - Young Musicians Festival - Voice. Open to any 4th/5th grade chorus members who would like to sing 2 solos or duets (by memory) for judges. Greenwich Arts Council, 299 Greenwich Ave, Greenwich.

MARCH 12 - 9:30 AM - 2nd Grade Musical. COMMON ROOM.

MARCH 16 - deadline to submit original music compositions for Darien Young Composers concert (on April 15)

APRIL 3 - ALL DAY - CMEA All-State Elementary Honors Chorus at Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Three or four students from the Minstrels Chorus are eligible to participate in the all-state chorus each year.

APRIL 15 - 6:30 PM - Darien Young Composers Concert. This concert is at Darien High School. All students are encouraged to submit original music compositions for this concert. Deadline: March 16th.

MAY 11 - 7:00 PM - Spring Concert, featuring the 4th and 5th Grade Band, the 4th and 5th Grade String Orchestra, 3rd Grade beginner strings, and 4th and 5th Grade Minstrels Chorus. This concert is at Darien High School.

JUNE 10 - 9:30 AM - Kindergarten END-OF-YEAR Concert. COMMON ROOM (or outside if weather is ok!)

JUNE 14 - Flag Day Ceremony - Time TBA. Minstrels Chorus will sing for this event at school.
