Solo & Ensemble Festival
Overview
The Michigan School Vocal Music Association provides opportunities for interested singers to individually prepare solo or small ensemble literature and perform for an adjudicator. At each festival, students prepare two contrasting songs for performance. The adjudicator provides written and oral feedback, a brief voice lesson, and an overall final determination. There are three events: Classical Solo & Ensemble Festival (classical literature), Musical Theatre Solo & Ensemble Festival (musical theatre literature), and the Musical Theatre Intensive.
