Pioneer Choir Alumni - Wintertime Aglow Recording Project
While I cannot welcome you back to the stage of Schreiber Auditorium this December for our annual Winter Sing, I hope to have you sing with us, virtually! The Pioneer Choirs are still singing online, and traditions are alive and well, including singing Wintertime Aglow. We are using an online program, Upbeat Music, to make virtual choir videos, and I am writing to invite you to participate in an alumni recording of Wintertime Aglow.
To participate, you will record yourself singing Wintertime Aglow to a provided click track containing the piano and vocal parts. No tech beyond a desktop or laptop is required. Please follow these steps:
1. Here is a PDF of Wintertime Aglow, if you want to remember the words!
2. Review the attached Google Slides or PDF with directions on how to use Upbeat Music. It is very easy to use.
3. If you have a pair of finger cymbals, this is your moment to shine.
4. Follow this link to record. The link is also in the slides.
5. Submit a recording by Wednesday, December 16.
6. The Pioneer Choirs will be streaming a virtual Winter Sing later this month that will hopefully include this alumni performance. Fill out this GoogleForm and I will forward you the viewing details.
7. Please forward this email to any Pioneer Choir alumni of any class year! My alumni email information is incomplete and out-of-date.
I'm saddened to not see all of you in Schreiber this December for our annual Winter Sing, but hope that you and your loved ones are doing well, staying safe, and singing strong. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope you'll be involved in this alumni recording of Wintertime Aglow!
