GRAMMY® Foundation Awards

The Ann Arbor Pioneer High School music department is the proud recipient of eight GRAMMY® Foundation awards.

The GRAMMY® Foundation recognized excellence in high school music departments from 1998-2016.

2015 GRAMMY® Gold Signature School (photos above from the 2015 GRAMMY® Gold Signature School Celebration Concert)

  • 2014-15 academic year.

  • Designated as one of the top three high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $3,500.


2011 National GRAMMY® Gold Signature School


2010 GRAMMY® Gold Signature School

  • 2009-10 academic year.

  • Designated as one of the top three high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $5,000.


2006 National GRAMMY® Gold Signature School

  • 2005-06 academic year.

  • Designated as the best high school music department in the nation.

    • Pioneer received a check for $20,000.

  • NOTE: Per GRAMMY® rules, Pioneer was required to wait until the 2009-10 academic year to re-apply.


2005 GRAMMY® Gold Signature School

  • 2004-05 academic year.

  • Designated as one of the top seven high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $7,000.


2004 GRAMMY® Gold Signature School

  • 2003-04 academic year.

  • Designated as one of the top seven high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $5,000.


2003 GRAMMY® Signature School

  • 2002-03 academic year.

  • Designated as one of the top 50 high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $1,000.


2002 GRAMMY® Signature School

    • 2001-02 academic year.

    • Pioneer applied for consideration for the first time.

    • Designated as one of the top 100 high school music departments in the nation.

  • Pioneer received a check for $1,000.
