Bel Canto White is an auditioned, intermediate level choral ensemble for treble voices, grades 9-12. Bel Canto White has worked with artists including Alice Parker, Tara Erraught, Janai Brugger, Wendy Bloom, Molly Quinn, and Monica Swartout-Bebow. In 2014, they received a grant through the Ann Arbor Public Schools Education Foundation to study music featuring female composers and poets. Students will study music written for treble voices from a variety of musical time periods and styles. Prospective students must display intermediate music-reading skills, vocal technique, rehearsal technique, and initiative. Members are strongly encouraged to participate in Solo & Ensemble or Honors Choir.
