End of March, over 4000 cases of cholera had been reported in four regions of the country out of which some 70 people have died.

Access to potable treated water has still not reached the majority of the population and personal hygiene is still a far cry.

have health implications and so are foods sold near open gutters and rubbish heaps, for example. Eating with the hands without washing them thoroughly with soap and water is just as deadly.
