Nothing Old, All New

He Who is sitting on the throne said, "Lo! New am I making all! {Revelation 21:5}

There seems to be a problem with this verse in the New Testament, most of the churches don't believe or teach it and most Christians don't believe it.

New Covenant

Most teach of a New Covenant however that does not mean that is what they are teaching. Actually most are teaching the old covenant even if they are saying that they are teaching the new, that is it is down to you to accept or believe in God. You have to keep you word, you vow to God. However the New Covenant is very different, for it is down to God, not down to you. For it is God that imparts the belief on to you. It is down to God to keep his promise, his vow, to have all believe in him, for all to be His people.

New Man

Ephesians 4:24 yet to be rejuvenated in the spirit of your mind,and to put on the new humanity which, in accord with God, is being created in righteousness and benignity of the truth." {CLV}

The New humanity or new man is being created in side of true believers, those that have been given faith, those that believe that God will keep his vow. Not by those who believe that they have chosen God or Christ, that it was down to them. You hold no part in what God works in you, it is beyond your control.

New Body

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I am averring, brethren, that flesh and blood is not able to enjoy an allotment in the kingdom of God"

You old body of flesh and blood is not able to enjoy an allotment in the kingdom, that is you can not get into the kingdom with your old body. How do you get in?

1 Corinthians 15:51-53 yet we all shall be changed, in an instant, in the twinkle of an eye, at the last trump. For He will be trumpeting, and the dead will be roused incorruptible, and we shall be changed." For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal put on immortality." {CLV}

At the last trump the chosen, the breathren, the faithful in Christ, will all be transformed. In an instant they will have new incorruptible, immortal bodies. It is with these new bodies that one can enter into the kingdom of God.

The new bodies will be spiritual, not soulish, and Celestial not of the soil, earth. That is to say our present bodies are of the soil, that is made up of earthly elements, refer 1 Corinthians 15:40-49.

However it is not just those in Christ that will have new celestial bodies, all mankind will have new celestial bodies, however it is only those in Christ that gain their new bodies first.

New Temple

There are those that teach of a new temple that will be built in Jerusalem, that will have the animal sacrifices of the old temples. However there is no need to do animal sacrifices to pay for any country's sin, or nation's sin, or people's sin or your personal sin. If you believe that then you do not believe in Christ's sacrifice on the cross. There is no need of a building for a temple, for in the New Jerusalem God is the Temple.

Revelation 21:22 And a temple I did not perceive in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lambkin."

New Jerusalem

At the start of Revelation 21, we are shown the New Jerusalem, that descends out of Heaven, to the New Earth. This Jerusalem is not the city of Jerusalem that exists now, for the new Jerusalem descends out of Heaven. The new city is pictured descending to the new earth after the Great White Throne Judgement, that is it does not come down at the start of the millennium. Which brings us back to this verse:

He Who is sitting on the throne said, "Lo! New am I making all! {Revelation 21:5}

The verse seems to be connected to that which has just be covered before in the chapter, that is the New Jerusalem and the New Earth.

New Heaven and Earth

When one talks of heaven, a lot of people think that you are talking about where the angels exist, and where Christ has gone. However there is more than one heaven, for the sky is also referred to as heaven, and also outer space. Thus this existing Earth is in heaven that is it is in the Universe, or space which is heaven, but it is not in the Heavenly realm where the angels and Jesus Christ are.

Rev 20:11 And I perceived a great white throne, and Him Who is sitting upon it, from Whose face earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them." {CLV}

The great white throne is in heaven, thus another heaven is that which has fled. Thus when it says that the face of the earth and heaven fled it is talking about the earth and the universe, one could think it is talking about just the sky and not the complete universe. However this does not fit with making all new, for you would have a new earth, but an old universe for it to exist in.

Rev 21:1 And I perceived a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth pass away, {CLV}

The former earth and heaven, universe have past away, they are no more, however there is a new earth and a new universe. The new Jerusalem descends to the new earth.

2 Peter 3:13 Yet we, according to His promises, are hoping for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness is dwelling. {CLV}

We are not hoping for the millennium, instead the hope is for new heavens and a new earth. Heavens parallel, the sky and the universe.
