Stansbury Island North

1¼ hrs T0

Most of the lower elevations at the north end of the island is privately owned. But there is small area at the north end of the island where you can camp by the beach. There are some signs there and an "interpretive trail" telling some information about the island.

Keep to the left as you get to the island and keep heading north. Most is the road is unpaved, but still a good road. You will pass a sign that says you are passing private land and to stay on the road. Keep going until you see a parking area with a small outhouse. It is about 10 miles once you get on the island. There is room for a couple groups there on the left by the beach. There is also a sandy area on the right up the "Interpretive Trail" about 50 feet that could also probably be used to camp. There is some old boards laying around there that could be used for a camp fire. Either way I suggest taking a file bowl or barrel so as not to scar the area.
