Echo Reservoir

¾ hr $

There is a pay to camp, boat, swim, etc. beach on the north-east side of the Reservior. They acutally own two beaches about a half mile apart. The one called South Beach (shown below) is actually more of a camping beach. It is just a large open area with a few tree on the edge. But probably a good place to go for water sports.

The cost to camp is $20 but there is a $5 coupon on their web site: http://www.echodamresort.com/ Head east up Weber canyon on I84 to I80. Go on I80 East for a short distance and take the first exit 169. Go right and follow Echo Dam road to the Echo Reservior Resort. You probably need to sign in at the main resort even if you camp at the South Beach. I would recommend calling them first. I'm not sure of their hours or season. Their number and more information is on their web site.

There is a dirt rail trail that goes from here to park city, see http://home.chpc.utah.edu/~mcuma/images/summer03/rail_tr/
