Indian Trail

½ hr + ½ hour hike

There are a few nice camping spots off of the Indian Trail up Ogden Canyon. They are about about a half of a mile in from the Ogden Canyon trail head or about 3 1/2 miles in from the 22nd Street trail head if you want a long backpack trek. The trailhead up Ogden Canyon is about a mile and a half from the mouth of the canyon. There is a sign and you will see on the right and some sort of an old kiln that was used to make lime. The trail head goes left from the parking lot and up hill for about 1/4 a mile and then downhill for a little ways where you will see a trail going down to the left to this campsite.

The best one is right off of the trail, just above the first one with makeshift benches around a campfire pit. But, you're supposed to be 50 feet off of the trail so if you want to follow the guidelines.

These first two sites are the largest and can fit about 3 tents. A little further up, just before you cross over a bridge there is a trail going to the right that lead to a nice little site. It has room for a couple tents.

The last one is a little further up the trail on the left.

I hiked another half mile up and didn't see any more camping sites. I've actually never hiked the whole trail.
