Still Missing

Saint Paul, 9 May 2014

In snapshots from commercial transport

Thunderheads rise up in the rear-view mirror

Reflections in the windshield could be anyone

Rolling by centerlines during daylight hours

Streaming by dusk when poles and power lines

streak the landscape like the grit of indifference

The maw below us transforms the road ahead

A crease in the clouds pinches out the sunset

steering us past all of the pictures still missing
