Your Jupiter

Saint Paul, 11 April 2014

for Cindy Gipple

Paused on the steps of a darkened house

We divine nothing except the urgency of affairs

Snow crystals sparkle like starlight above the Arctic Circle

Resplendence settles on the spines of wrought iron handrails

Your eyes draw me to you like the mass of an unnamed planet

It's a body set in motion sometime following the Big Bang

Ice and rocks coalesce to moons orbiting your Jupiter
