From Ship and Castle Hotel to MCC and Apartments

Ship and Castle Hotel, Southend, Mumbles, in the early 1890s, which was destroyed by fire on the night of 17 Feb 1896.

The latterly infamous Ship and Castle Hotel, at Southend, Mumbles, is pictured on the right, C1920

Later it became Mumbles Conservative Club.

Thomas Webborn who worked for The Oystermouth Urban District Council is walking near the Mumbles Railway lines.

Very faint, in the background is seen the bridge over the railway near Southend Station.
