LOOKING FORWARD TO CREATIVE AND EVENTFUL YEAR

Every year the SJB Arts Department has helped SJB students initiate and prepare many events and presentations that have allowed students work towards realizing their greatest potential as artists, photographers, musicians, actors, and directors but most importantly as young leaders and fully engaged members of a beautiful school community. Not exhaustive, here is a list of just some of the highlights of what SJB Arts students and staff have begun and continue to look forward to accomplishing through the arts in our first Semester of 2019/2020.

Opening Liturgy Choir Performances

A select group of Vocal Students performed beautifully at our Opening liturgy.

Terry Fox Day and Homecoming

Monday September 30th 2019

The Ursa Major band welcomed graduated SJB students back at homecoming as well as welcoming all students who participated in the Terry Fox walk to fight cancer.

Awards Ceremony Performances

Thursday October 17th 2019

Parents and students enjoyed performances by the SJB Ursa Major band during a well attended Awards ceremony.

Grade Eight Open House performances and art displays

Wednesday November 12th, 2019

Drama and music students will be amongst the many people who help make our school proud during the night and daytime visits for SJB's grade eight open house. Parents and students will hear the music of the SJB Choir, the Ursa Major Band along with enjoying thought provoking drama performances. Of course there will be a variety of beautiful Visual Art and Photography Displays as well.

Halloween Haunt Drama Presentation

Thursday October 31st

The grade 11 drama class is making a comeback to the Theatre Arts room which will be transformed into a maze of haunted scenes and mini performances during period two this Halloween.

Christmas Arts Fest

Thursday December the 5th, 2019

An amazing collaboration of Drama, Photography, Music, and Visual art will take place. Every year hundreds of parents, students and staff come back to Brebeuf between 6 and 9 pm to enjoy a medley of musical and dramatic performances as well as a visual arts exhibition all in celebration of Christmas!!

Grade 12 Drama production

December 11th and 12th, 2019
