Principal's Message from: Rocchina Antunes
What a remarkable journey this year! We have come to the end of another school year with humble gratitude for all of the blessings and accomplishments that have been bestowed upon our school community.
I’d like to recognize our Grade 12 Graduates on the completion of four years of high school and share some of the achievements of this graduating class:
162 of our graduates have achieved Honour Roll status and 176 are being recognised as Ontario Scholars. What a tremendous accomplishment.
In this class of 311 graduates, 190 are attending University, 104 students will be attending College and 2 students have signed on as apprentices.
- 5 of our Graduates have accepted offers into York University’s Schulich School of Business BBA Program
- 2 of our Graduates have accepted offers into University of Toronto’s Rotman Commerce Program
- 5 of our Graduates have accepted offers into the Engineering Program at York University
- 1 of our Graduates has accepted offers into the Engineering Program at University of Toronto
- 1 of our Graduates has accepted an offer into the Architectural Studies Program at University of Toronto
- 43 of our Graduates have accepted offers to Ryerson in programs including Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Nursing and Interior Design
Our Graduates have also accepted offers to College programs in:
- Engineering Technology
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aviation, Aircraft and Avionics
- Fashion Arts
- Restaurant and Culinary
- Nursing, Child and Youth Care, ECE and Social Services.
We also have 17 students who graduated with a red seal diploma to indicate that they have successfully completed all of the requirements in the Specialist High Skills Majors Program in either Business or Health and Wellness.
Graduates, “May God’s blessing follow you all as you find new journeys to travel. May you walk safely along the pathways of your dreams. May God’s gentle hand guide the decisions you will make and the passions that you follow. May your hearts and lives always reflect God’s love and truth. And may hope be a light within you that you carry into each new day.”
As we look forward to the upcoming school year, we are excited to welcome our new Grade 9 students to our St. Jean de Brebeuf family. The Grade 9 Orientation Day will take place on September 4th. It is a special day dedicated to our Grade 9 students. An information letter will be mailed home outlining the agenda for the day. We wish our new Grade 9 students a relaxing summer and look forward to meeting them all in September.
To the rest of the staff and students, enjoy your summer break and thank you for your positive contributions to our school this year. As you start your summer holiday remember to take time to be still and to find God’s voice in your life. In the busyness of your life, it is important to not lose sight of your life purpose, which is to be a GOOD person and to bring joy to your life and to others around you.
