English Time students at Narcís Monturiol worked on one of the world's most visited cities, London, and they discovered the city through culture, art, architecture and history.
To conclude the London Project, they chose a landmark, prepared a presentation and created a black and white skyline to decorate the classroom.
What are the learning objetives of this project?
-To improve their ability to effectively search and locate information and data on the Internet
-To display communication skills through an oral presentation on a London landmark
-To learn how to give clear, organized and accurate writing information to prepare a presentable digital presentation
-To improve summarizing skills (they write a card with general information on their landmark)
-To acquire artistic skills and competences
Moreover, this project cultivates curiosity, originality and creativity and students get eager to travel and visit London and the UK.
It is worth mentioning that students were amazingly engaged in their work. As a reward, they can enjoy stunning views over London at the back wall of the English Lab.
"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
— Samuel Johnson
