At INS Narcís Monturiol our ET students became graphologists for one day.
We read about William Shakespeare’s signature and they found out that his signature is 400 years old and it’s worth millions of dollars. Did you know that there are only six signatures by Shakespeare in the world today and they are all different?
This lesson plan was carried out with a clear CLIL objective: to look at the area of graphology and the hobby of “philography”.
Students wrote their signature on post-it notes and posted the sticky notes on the whiteboard. If they didn’t have a signature it was time to practise until they found one they were happy with.
The teacher analysed her signature on the board and then it was the students turn! They analysed and found out what their signatures said about them. We discussed if they agreed or not with the analysis results.
The following day, students brought autographs of famous people they found online or real ones they once got. They analysed them using the information we learnt.
The lesson was a big success!
