Sherlock Holmes portrayals

English Time students at La Salle have been working on physical description and developed a small Project called “My Favourite Detective”. Previously, they had been working on the famous figure of SHerlock Holmes and they had seen some vocabulary related to physical description and clothes. After a few sessions which included watching the latest “Sherlock Homes” movie in the original version with subtitles, students were asked to think about other detectives they knew from comics, cartoons, or TV series.

After that, they had to pick one and write a little description including: name, place of residence, physical description, clothes, habits and hobbies. At the end of the Project, they had to add a picture of the detective.

It has been a motivating and rewarding activity!
