At I. Narcís Monturiol we brought the joys of Christmas to our classroom in a creative way.
We tried a festive sing-along "karaoke" with our students and we organized a Christmas card design task. Obviously, we posted the letters in a Christmas box mailbox and Santa delivered them to the cheerful recipients.
Our students also developed some key skills through a project on creating Christmas video postcards introducing Catalan traditions on Christmas. The project offered rich citizenship opportunities as we sent them to some colleagues from other European countries. The students were motivated and they had the chance to look at celebrations around the world and reflect upon their own traditions.
