ET students at the INS Llançà Mediation class learn and practise the essential skills for managing emotions, communicating positively and finding solutions cooperatively when conflicts among people arise. These are skills that will not only help them in these challenging teenage years, but all their lives. To put all this into practice, they do Powerpoint presentations, role plays and a lot of group work.

The Galaxy is one of the projects they have carried out this year with the objective of fostering positive personal qualities. In this project, each student wrote his/her name in the middle of a printed star and every other student in the class had to write something positive about that person in one of the star's sides. To do that, they worked on the English vocabulary to describe people's character, especially adjectives. Once all the students had written their comments about all their classmates, each one of them got his original star back, gathering all the positive sentences from the class. All the stars were then put on a big poster and displayed on the class noticeboard!
