Before you can update your nonprofit's profile on giveguide.org, you will need a user account. This is easy. The next step is to be a "page owner" for your nonprofit. Also easy peasy. Follow the steps below.
Create a new user account: Go to giveguide.org. Click "sign up" in the top right corner. Create an account.
Request page ownership for your org:
Email us at giveguide@wweek.com when you have created an account or if you already have an account.
Next, we will add you as an owner of your nonprofit’s page.
After you become a page owner, new features will be unlocked for your account including a menu with links for you to manage your organization and events. That's where you'll find all of your nonprofit's content, donation records, and events.
Access your nonprofit’s management page (after becoming a page owner):
Log into your account
Go to giveguide.org and click "Sign In" or "My Account" in the top right corner
Remember: your landing page will show your personal information.
Look for "Menu" (lower left) and then click it.
Manage Your Profile:
From your account landing page, look under "Menu"
Click "Manage Organization"
Click "Edit" or "View"
Upload content and click "Save"
Manage Your Events:
From your account landing page, look under "Menu"
Click "Manage Events"
Complete form, wait for G!G HQ to approve & publish it.
Get a Donation Report:
From your account landing page, look under "Menu"
Click "Manage Organization"
Scroll to "Export Donations Report" and enter your desired date range.
Click "Export transactions" to generate a .csv file
Ta-dah!
😵💫 Don't get confused: When you log into your giveguide.org account, the landing page is for you as an individual. Any recent donations or activity that you have made will be shown here. If you want to see your nonprofit's information, then you must be a page owner.
PROFILE URLS
Every nonprofit's profile page has a unique link. All of our marketing directs people to the main website, giveguide.org. If you want to send people to your page, then use your link!
QR CODES
If you'd rather use a visual reference instead of long link, then consider using a QR code. The "QR" in the QR code stands for "Quick Response". It's a two-dimensional matrix barcode that can be read and scanned with compatible devices such as a smartphone camera.
SLUGS
A URL slug refers to the end part of a URL after the backslash (“/”) that identifies the specific page or post. G!G slugs default to your organization's name. Some of you have very long names or prefer to use an acronym. It's okay to shorten it! Test to make sure that particular slug isn't being used already. Then email a slug change request to G!G HQ.
