We feature every category in a special newsletter to our full mailing list. Here is this year's schedule:
Nov. 3 - 9: Civil & Human Rights
Nov. 10 - 16: Community / Home
Nov. 17 - 23: Education
Nov. 24 - 30: Human Services / Animals
Dec. 1 - 7: Health
Dec. 8 - 14: Environment
Dec. 15- 21: Hunger
Dec. 22 - 28: Creative Expression
Social Media is important but it's not as powerful as your newsletters are. Keep your content helpful and campaign-friendly without overwhelming followers.
Use #giveguide and tag @giveguide so we can see and engage with your posts.
🤬 If you spot false or inflammatory content about G!G online, let us know — we’ll handle it.
Want to save time? Try automation! Move repetitive tasks to automated workflows so you can focus on higher-value work. Explore your donor database features, use Gmail automations to sort, forward, schedule, or respond to emails, and schedule social or email posts in advance. Set it up once, let it run, and reclaim your time — maybe for eggnog and puzzles instead of another BGD email!
Events can help donors connect with your cause and boost support. You’re fully responsible for any event you run, but we encourage teaming up with other G!G nonprofits to make it more dynamic and reach new audiences.
Promote your events for free on our public calendar by logging in and clicking “manage events.”
🎉 G!G HQ focuses on fundraising, not parties, but we’ll celebrate together at a reception in January (Jan 22, 2026, 4–6 PM, at NW Natural). Keep an eye out for casual community gatherings too!
Google Analytics shows you who’s visiting, how they interact, and what leads them to give. If you’re not using it yet, now’s the perfect time to start.
UTM codes are little tags you add to a URL so you can see exactly where your traffic comes from and which content drives results.

As part of our big promo push, G!G is the Willamette Week cover package during Kickoff week. For 2025, the publishing date will be October 29. This is always a popular (and big!) issue as our readers get ready for the campaign.
The issue included the following:
A message from G!G HQ
Skidmore Prize winner profiles
How to Give infographic
Incentive & Big Give Day info
The 35 & Under Challenge
Nonprofit listings sorted by category
Sponsor recognition
Business partners list
We will need feature writers to write intros for each category. Tell Toni if you're interested..
A note from WW's Advertising Team:
The G!G Issue (10/29/25) is our biggest issue of the year, and WW offers DEEP discounts on advertising rates to all participating nonprofits. We're also offering three majorly discounted print+digital packages designed to keep your nonprofit top of mind with our readers throughout the campaign.
Draw extra attention to your efforts, or get your business partners to place an ad or ad package in support of your organization! Interested? Reach out to advertising@wweek.com to reserve a spot.
💙 Remember, the week begins on Wednesday at Willamette Week! 💙
